I wanted to make sure to get everything down here so we can remember all the fun things we did.
Monday:
Matt went up to Lee to visit Mr. Cardona (now the principle there) and Coach Kloza (the head football coach). While he was there he also ran into some other people that had either been at Mac or Garner in the past. He had a nice visit and also got to see Angie's class room where he told the class "what he does" ("if you want to make the big bucks, be and engineer"). Unbeknownst to Matt, this was Angie's ESL class, so some of the kids probably didn't even understand what he was saying!
I spent the day going through stuff at my Mom's house. I have so many t-shirts from Mac and A&M. I'd like to make one of those t-shirt quilts one day, we'll see how that goes.
In the afternoon we spent some much needed time in the rec room and TAngie's. After that amazing meal on Sunday, we felt we needed to get our fitness on!
Monday night we joined the Roper's at their place for some philly cheese steaks, which Josh informed us was his favorite. We stayed there and visited for a while, like always! :)
Tuesday:
Tuesday morning Matt and I got up at a decent hour and went to work out again!
For lunch we met Betsy, her friend Lauren from t.u. and Emily at 5 Guys for lunch! We love that place! http://www.fiveguys.com/
Matt has been wanting to try the hot dogs there, and since he wasn't too hungry this time, he went for it:
He said it was good, but it seems like its better to stick with the burger since that's what they're known for!
After lunch we went to Martha's office to help around there. While folding the bison skin rugs:
We saw the....um.....rattle:
Yes...you read the tag correctly.....gross!
After working, we headed home for a quick nap, then to HEB to get some stuff to our spaghetti dinner that night:
This is Matt's "donut peach" he got for a snack. The spaghetti turned out great, if I do say so myself. Braise is great in HEB brand Tomato and Alfredo sauce! over linguini pasta! I should've taken a picture of that! We topped off the meal with a wonderfully loaded salad and jumbo cresent rolls!
Wednesday:
Matt went with uncle Frank to work on the old fire truck they are restoring and I took the opportunity to get up early and catch up on here!
Here are some pictures of the 1952 fire engine that Matt and Uncle Frank worked on:
Wednesday was also Angie's birthday! So we celebrated with Chipotle for dinner:
Thursday:
During the day we spent the day running errands and doing thing around Martha's house, but Thursday night....we had an amazing dinner................Honey Sesame Pork Tenderloin with creamy mashed potatoes, salad and Italian bread:
Friday:
Friday was pretty eventful as well. We played volleyball with some friends and Emily made tortilla soup for dinner!
Saturday:
Saturday evening we went with Steve Ribble and Dylan and Abby Nealous to Ben Mathews and Brittney Feltman's Engagement/Housewarming party!
