On Tuesday morning we all work up, got geared up and went fishin!

oh ps it was also REALLY cold! But we were prepared!

These flowers, called Lupen, looked so much like bluebonnets, I was so excited!  They are everywhere!

Matt and Chris fly fishing

Waiting for her turn at the rod!

First catch of the day!  Way to go Nate!

Matt giving it a go...

Even though we were salmon fishing, and everyone around us was catching red salmon, I somehow caught this little guy (a grayling), and then subsequently had to let him go.

Joe's catch

trying to stay warm in the camper before hitting the road!

After a few hours of fishing and then packing up our camp site, we headed back towards the Sperry's.  We stopped at this "local dairy queen" kinda place.  The food was so greasy and delicious!

We also stopped for a photo op at the Matanuska Glacier:

Em told us that the glacier was like our live, it will remain forever :)

We continued driving back south to Eagle River.  We were on some really windy roads, like this one through the Talkeetna Mountains (on the right) and the Chugach Mountains (on the left).

We also saw a few more moose, just off the side of the highway!

When we got back to home base, we all took showers, and hung out.  Of course there was a game of Settlers, and delicious red salmon (as well as some amazing pasta salad that Mary made)!

Oh yea, and Em FINALLY got to pet a moose :)

That wraps up Tuesday!  Goodnight (even though its not dark.....)
